New York, 1984 - The first night is a trial-by-fire for the new recruits of Bronx Precinct 43. They step off the bus to find their police station riddled with bullets, their holding cells empty, their fellow officers slain and the one working squad car in the department overturned in the parking lot and blazing merrily. Things go from bad to worse when their first case turns out to be a savage and elusive serial-killer who may be a great deal more dangerous than anyone can imagine.
